Painting Walls in Tallahassee

My friend Caitlin let me paint a door and a couple of walls while I was visiting Tallahassee, FL, which is also where I grew up and went to college. Compared to my new life in NYC, it is very green, sunny, relaxed, and friendly there. Also Southern!

So I haven't done large-ish painting like this since I first tried it out at the Howl Festival at Tompkins Square Park back in July, but I absolutely love it so much. I find it incredibly satisfying and fulfilling. I want to do it all day.

Here are two pics:

I have video footage too which I hope to share soon.

Thanks Caitlin for letting me paint like this!

Since they aren't so daily these days, I'm calling 'em "Sketchbook Scans" now, instead.

Daily Drawing

Finally posting again!

I have many newer drawings to share, but as you can see this one's from a little while back.

In the future I woud like to post a video of me drawing one of these (as kindly suggested by my good buddy Garrett), and put paintings and shirts up for sale on some kind of shop (possibly Etsy).

And I sold a painting!! I'll post a good photo of it eventually.

Daily drawing posts are going on a brief hiatus while I wait for Intetnet to be set up in my new apartment. Thanks for your patience :)

Buffalo Bangers - Blockader

My buddy Bedford is a genius.

He shot this on a custom-hacked Super 8 camera (to allow for single frame capture) and digitized it himself frame-by-frame (once he hacked his projector to also do single frame).

He also used me in it when I still had my beard :)

And he did in-camera effects!

The awesome vocals (and I think the lyrics, too) are by my friend Lindsey, who also draws the most amazing comics (Windsor McCay-inspired).

Daily Drawing

I took some crappy photos of old sketchbooks in the interest of backing them up and having more drawings to post on here :)

So here's one:

Not animation-related, but I do love animals- Bedford and his amazing dog Lucifer visited me before I moved to NYC:
